- Increase the communities involvement in accessing Department of Public Health and Behavioral Health Service programs.
- Help raise community awareness of mental health wellness services that DPH and BHS provide.
- Act as mediators between individuals and health care service providers. Improve provider responsiveness to the needs of the Black/African American communities.
- Serve as advocates to help reduce mental health stigma and offer education that promotes healthy behaviors to reduce mental illness.
- Hear from and share stories of all communities struggling to survive and thrive through depression, anxiety, and other disorders.
